  • The Phone’s back Will Make From Glass and Metal

According to the latest rumors and leaks, Google is planning to remove 3.5mm headphone jack from its next generations smartphones. However, it will not be the first company to ditch these most popular headphones. From the smartphones, other top mobile phone companies like Motorola, HTC, and Apple have also removed this feature earlier. You will also remember how Google criticized Apple to remove it from its flagship devices. Now it becomes a little bit surprising for all why this search engine is mulling to drop headphone jack.

However, there may be so many reasons behind it. On the top of that, this feature will make its phones more waterproof. If we talk about original Google Pixel, it comes with an IP53 splash-rating, but it is not waterproof.

It is rumored that the upcoming Pixel 2 will have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Hence, the phone can survive a dip into 5 feet deep water. Other reason may be that Google, however, is criticizing other top companies like Apple to remove jack. But it also knows that the entire world is moving towards wireless.

In the coming years, it may possible that wired phones will become obsolete. By ditching Pixel 2 headphone jack, Google will have more space to include new features for example, rumored stereo speakers which will give the user excellent audio experience.

Another top reason could be its upcoming Android O Operating system. This new operating system will be introduced in October in the Pixel 2 phones. However, Bluetooth headphones are considered as the best alternatives as compared to the wired ones. AAC and SBC are highly compressed Bluetooth codecs which don’t deliver an excellent listening experience to the user.

The new operating system will have support for numerous top quality Bluetooth codecs like aptX HD, aptX, and LDAC. Till date, LG G5 is one of the few devices having top quality codecs. By introducing the new operating system in phones, the company can make sure that they will support top quality Bluetooth codecs.

If the company removes the headphone jack feature from Pixel XL 2 and Pixel 2, it will be a great surprise for the Mountain View Firm. With this move, Google will motivate the vendors of headphones to manufacture low cost yet top quality wireless headphones in the bulk.

The latest leaks also suggest that it will look same than its predecessor. However, there will be little changes in design. The Google Pixel 2 will come with 4.97 inch Quad HD display, whereas Pixel XL 2 will feature 5.99 inches. What’s more, you will not get any physical home button. It is also rumored that the phone will have pressure sensitive frames just like HTC U11 which will launch apps or offer shortcuts based upon how you will compress the frames.

It is also expected that it will offer 64GB or 128 GB internal memory along with 4GB RAM. According to the last month report, it will be the first phone which runs on the latest Snapdragon 836 in lieu of Snapdragon 835. Just like original pixel, it will also have a fingerprint sensor.

If we talk about its back panel, it will be made from glass and metal. However, it will have smaller glass portion than ever. It is also said that it will come with a rear camera. On the other hand, the Apple iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have dual cameras. But you can also have a great photography experience with the Original pixel.
